Brian Horn, PhD, is Managing Director of Hatteras Energy Group and an energy executive and geoscientist with more than 25 years of experience across global exploration, portfolio analysis, M&A and technical assurance. He leads Hatteras’s strategy, opportunity sourcing, and technical and commercial evaluation. Brian served as President of AAPG from 2025–2026.

He is a partner at CXO Partners and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.
