Dr. Brian Horn
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Horn has a 30-year career with Industry leaders including Amoco, BP, Maersk Oil and most recently Cairn Oil and Gas.
His experience includes the integration of geological, geophysical and geochemical data for play fairway and petroleum systems analysis, regional stratigraphic and seismic correlations, as well as resource assessments.
In addition to exploration projects, Brian has delivered exploitation/development programs generating prospects for development (infill) drilling designed to identify and evaluate critical reservoir uncertainties focused on increasing recovery efficiencies and reservoir management strategies.
Brian received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Geology from the University of Colorado and his PhD in Geology and Geological Engineering with a Minor in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO.
Jacob Varghese
Chief Financial Officer
With over 20 years of experience in financial leadership, Jacob has guided both public and private companies through strategic decision-making to navigate the various cycles within the oil and gas industry.
As a seasoned CFO, Jacob has overseen budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for both established firms and startups. He is focused on providing data-driven decisions to ensure the business achieves optimal growth and profitability.
Jacob has led fundraising rounds, made capital investment decisions, optimized company capital structures, and effectively engaged with the investor community. He holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas and a graduate degree in Business Administration from Rice University with a focus in strategy and finance.
John Sinclair
Director Reservoir and Reserves
John holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
He began his career with Mobil Oil in 1985 and has extensive experience in the U.S. Mid-Continent,
California, Alaska, Rocky Mountains, Texas, and Louisiana. He formed a consulting company in 2001 to
provide reservoir engineering services and has performed evaluations in the U.S., Australia, Mexico, North
Sea, South Africa, and Nigeria. He is an expert at conventional and unconventional reservoir engineering,
simulation, economics and reserve certification. He is certified by the Society of Petroleum Engineers
(SPE) and a member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers (SPEE).
